Striking a pose is always difficult for me, unless I’m being a super duper camera ham (not to be confused with an Easter ham). This crusty stoop did not prove to be the best location for outfit photos… until the wind picked up my hair and… BAM! It was almost as if Tyra Banks was here with me. I could just. feel. it.

I have a thing for superheroes.
The sun was so bright. The whites so white! The only painful portion of this day was being inside too long. Sad face.
Both the blazer and the shirt are a cool, icy white. Icy white = a hint of blue? a cool white? The blazer is cotton and leopard lined and the shirt is oh so thin. Neutral tone on tone with that red lip hotness, baby. Get into it for spring and summer – it’ll keep you cool.

Here you go: a date outfit. Luckily it was sort of warm this night and I was able to wear a light jacket. Still had to rock the tights. Lovely little skirt, eh? Lovely little date.

I took a trip to the Woodbury Common Outlets with my friend Jessica the other weekend and we found a ton of sales. Then we talked about them as we sat in traffic for an hour. Either way, it was worth the trip and worth the saved money. You will be seeing some new items trickled here and there on the blog.
We all know new things make us feel NEW, but I realized today – aside from clothing and shoes – new perfumes make me feel the most different. Maybe that’s why I have so many? But I wonder: is it the scent itself or the possibility of powerful scent memories that I enjoy most? I’m a sucker for nostalgia! Gucci Envy will always remind me of Paris and Acqua Di Gio will always remind me of the summer before high school. Do I wear them to remember that specific time in my life? Yes, absolutely. My next scent to purchase will be the solid scent, Cleopatra by Tocca, that I tried today at Anthropologie. It smells very mature and seems like a good fit for the Adult Melissa. I’ll let you know what type of memory it sparks… in a few years.

When I lived in Philly, one of my favorite things to do was walk on Walnut Street. By the way, “walking on Walnut” sounds fancier than it actually is, when, shopping on Walnut is, in fact, as fancy as it sounds. Now that I live in NYC, I enjoy walking on Waverly Place. Much more quaint, much quieter and less shopping to lure me in. Plus, Cooper prefers Waverly. And apparently, so does Matthew Broderick. Stop. Stalking. Me. haha

It’s a nice day in the park when you can hold your coat instead of wear it. Strolling around without a care in the world. Well, maybe one care: where the nearest Pinkberry is located in comparison to where your stomach is located. Shannon and I found one on this magnificent day and the experience was abs fab. I mean, just look at the rays of light shining behind us as we snack on mango and raspberry. Are you hungry yet?
