You’re probably wondering why these photographs are so Sartorialist and so pretty. It’s a rental, don’t get too excited. My photographer, Shannon Holm, had the Canon EOS 5D Mark II in her possession this past weekend. As you see we took it out for a spin on a perfectly overcast day. I’m posting only two photos on Crowded Closet, but Shannon will be adding the rest to her blog.
I lust for this camera…….. (pause)
Oh yeah, hey, back to fashion. What up! I cut these shorts myself from Old Navy jeans that were so not cool, I don’t know remember where I got these tights and I didn’t have to pay for these really awesome flats (thanks Gretchen!). Oh, and I really enjoy all of the clashing colors in my outfit. Good story, huh?
blazer: White House Black Market
turtleneck: American Apparel
DIY cut-offs: (old) Old Navy denim
flats: vintage Cerutti 1881
song on my mix: Rude Boy, Rihanna
If you’re anything like me, you want a new pair of shoes for every event in your life. I use shoes to represent how I feel at the time. Needless to say, I have a collection of shoes and boots and heels more varied than my nail polish stash. And that is hard to do. Anyway, I want this suede ankle boot and I want to wear it with a dress – this weekend. I tried it on and it was semi-difficult to walk in but I’ll adjust. I’m sure it’s easy to dance in!
I fell in love, I ordered, and now I wait for my package to arrive. Another delight from Need Supply Co. (Thanks for the birthday money for these booties Grammy!)

I realize that title sounds semi-wrong. But all of our friends are now asking us about the booties we would recommend. And as you see from our previous posts, we like booties, a lot! I know there are a ton out there with a range of different prices, but check out our two choices for today. Of course we will want different ones tomorrow… hehe.
When looking for the perfect bootie…
1. find one that is highly wearable – this is the new boot.
2. find one that you can live with – this trend is not dying out soon.
3. find one that is two-toned – if you can’t afford a black and a brown boot.
4. find one with texture – leather, suede, patchwork, you pick.
5. make sure the heels is a substantial width – you will roll your ankle in a bootie, be careful!
Melissa’s pick: Dolce Vita Flexx
This seems like the best boot. It can fit over or under jeans. Casual, flat and unique.
Kim’s Pick: BC Stormy Weather
Lady-like lace up goes boxing. Love that this bootie still has a masculine feel to it.
Today’s cold weather makes me want to run out and stock up on sweaters, scarves, jackets and of course GLOVES! Check out this hot number from our favs over at Need Supply Co. Just what you need to spice up your tired winter jacket. enjoy. (Image via Need Supply Co.)

Now this is what I want in a man, I mean, a shoe.
I need you, Need Supply
I recently purchased this amazing necklace from the Patricia Field store in NYC. One of my favorite designers aka the goddess that makes Sex and the City beautiful to look at. Excited to wear these lips with some hot red lipstick.
