Laughter is a drug.
This is a real smile, a real doubled-over chuckle, a real glimpse into a coffee break and blog photoshoot with Shannon and I. None of the other photos matter after this one… we needed to laugh that day.
I dedicate this post to Shannon – my friend and photographer – for being so great, so beautiful and so incredibly funny.
Brian always tells me to put down my black clothing and pick up some white or color. This day I listened. Hahahahaha. It was all about neutral colors and tones. I have been dying to wear this new jacket from the H&M Garden Collection! I find it a great alternative to the classic trench because of its bubbly shape. It’s also light weight and will allow me to wear it further into the summer.
jacket: h&m garden collection
necklace: self made via old junk
I really wanted a tacky Florida t-shirt. Mission. Accomplished.
kids t-shirt: from Longboat Key ($5.99)
shorts: J.Crew outlet
wedges: Nine West
song: Summerboy by Gaga
If you haven’t noticed, I am exploring some different silhouettes in my wardrobe lately. The minute I saw this sweater I knew I had to have it. I imagine frolicking on the beach in this. DONE AND DONE. The length is perfect to cover my tush if I want to wear it with leggings which is what I did today. These photos are taken in my Mom’s glorious garden. She has filled it with all types of wildflowers. GOOD WORK MAMMA!
tights + earings: forever21
booties: go jane
There’s only one place to wear a dress like this: Florida. The dress was shining bright amidst Sarasota’s tackiness (ok, it really wasn’t that tacky at all). But I wonder: can I pull this dress off in NYC? Maybe over a bathing suit on the Jitney? We’ll seeeeeee.
I’d like to extend a big thank you to my sister, Anna, for taking these great photos. She gets an extra ice cream scoop tonight for being such a good sister – no hand signals though, Anna.
dress: vintage at the Brooklyn Flea
jellies: Grendha Jelly
slip: Victoria’s Secret (because the dress is totally transparent)
song: One Less Bell To Answer by Barbra Streisand (thanks to Glee)
Rittenhouse Square is definitely one of my favorite places to people watch, stroll and drink a cup of coffee. These photos are actually from the day we dropped Andrea off at the airport on her venture home. I’m still sad she left. COME BACK SOON!!! Brian and I grabbed a bagel and coffee and headed to soak up the sun. By now, Im sure you know I have a thing for band tees / rock and roll. I have an old soul and love the rock of the 60s and 70s. Being comfortable on a lazy Sunday was my top priority, but I wanted to find a little garnish to top things off. This is one of my all time favorite hats and I am sure you will be seeing it ALL SUMMER LONG.
shorts + tee: forever21
hat: NY & Co / my fav hat ever

This is me waiting outside of the Tampa airport for the rest of the crew to arrive for our girls-only vacation. I had already shed my sweatshirt and my black skinnies in the airport bathroom and threw the boots back on. This was 8:30am. I was exhausted and still really sick at this point. Good thing I had shades on to cover the mess! More vacation photos to come soon!
It proceeded to rain for the first two days of our trip and I went shopping in the rain in these boots, my bare legs and a sundress. I got so many compliments on these boots everywhere I went. Florida – get it together. I didn’t photograph that look, though… sorry blog lovers. You’ll see me wearing that look all Spring. Calm down.
shirt: I have no idea
shorts: Old Navy
