Mama had a lens baby! Shannon and I decided to take her new lens out for a spin after work and snapped a lot of fun photos on the way to and from Rickys. Surprisingly, they capture the outfit really well. We weren’t so sure how they would turn out!

I wore this cute decorative HnM dress as a t-shirt. It was a really blustery day and needed to wear tights in order to keep warm. Later in the day – in my afternoon haze – I daydreamed this dress sloppily tucked into beat up true blue denim cut-off shorts, which only made me regret wearing the skirt with it. Rubbish. Well, there’s always next time right? Right.

blazer: White House Black Market
dress worn as tee: HnM
skirt: Millau
shoes: Sam Edelman
bag: Laila Rowe (30% off)
shades: Anthropologie
ring: Brooklyn Flea ($2.50)
song: The Fear by Lily Allen

I really like it tucked into the skirt, it’s very polished looking, but tucking it into a pair of denim shorts would be a totally summery transition for it too!

First off, love the song you picked for the post title!! It’s one of my faves at the moment. Also loving how you turned this dress into a top, I’m so curious to see what it looks like as a dress!! You’ll have to give us a follow up post!

So cute! The lines are actually on the shirt? Looks like it could be ribbon you’ve just swooped around your neck. Lens is awesome – success Shannon!
