I took a trip to the Woodbury Common Outlets with my friend Jessica the other weekend and we found a ton of sales. Then we talked about them as we sat in traffic for an hour. Either way, it was worth the trip and worth the saved money. You will be seeing some new items trickled here and there on the blog.
We all know new things make us feel NEW, but I realized today – aside from clothing and shoes – new perfumes make me feel the most different. Maybe that’s why I have so many? But I wonder: is it the scent itself or the possibility of powerful scent memories that I enjoy most? I’m a sucker for nostalgia! Gucci Envy will always remind me of Paris and Acqua Di Gio will always remind me of the summer before high school. Do I wear them to remember that specific time in my life? Yes, absolutely. My next scent to purchase will be the solid scent, Cleopatra by Tocca, that I tried today at Anthropologie. It smells very mature and seems like a good fit for the Adult Melissa. I’ll let you know what type of memory it sparks… in a few years.
